Rest of Tahoe pictures

The weekend at Tahoe, we stayed at Paradice motel.  Heavenly ski resort is just across the street, so are the few casinos in the area.  Our room was very nice and clean., they provided cough drops,emergen-C and deodorant  haha

The best part of the motel are the staff and owner.  They were very caring and friendly; suggested places for us to hangout, nice restaurants to have dinner.  The next day after we checked out, she asked if we have anything for lunch.  We told her we planned to just stop by McDonald to grab breakfast, but she came out the office with three goodie bags for us to take it to the ski resort!

Paradice motel was very close to the beach, Crystal was very kind to be my model for the day.

I met Crystal during our university years.  She is a lovely person who is very straight forward, which is what I love about her.  Being around her makes me feel like I can be myself, and express my true feelings.

She's the type of person that can start a conversation with anyone, and make connections right away.  Something I like to learn from her. :)

She was pretty shy being my model of the day because she still got braces on.  I always tell her when I had braces on, I showed the biggest smile.
After all, braces will only be in your life for 2 years, should enjoy it!

Crystal was having a very interesting conversation with a couple we met at the beach.  It is so interesting, but I suppose they wouldn't want the story to be over the internet.  haha

Goldstrike Hot Spring

Back in May Ironman and I took a trip to Vegas, besides the "Vegas Basic" such as blackjack, Broadway shows, nonstop eat and drinks, we went HIKING!
Yup, in Vegas!  When Ironman told me about the hike I almost got a chill down my spine.  It was a round trip 6 mile hike and I have never hike that far before, not only that it's in Vegas.  The hot sun, the dry heat... just scared me.

^ see me way at the bottom, those rocks were huge!

Even though I was intimidate by the heat and the distance, after hearing about the hotsprings I decided to went along with the group.

To be exact with the location, the actually city is Boulder city not Las Vegas.  Boulder city is about 30-45 minutes away from Vegas strip.  Remember to bring enough water, sunblock and a hat to prevent any dehydration.  Thanks to Ironman kept reminding me to drink water during the hike, otherwise I'm easily dehydrated.

Everyone were so exciting when we saw the hotspring, some folks jumped right in the water.  Temperature was just perfect.  It's not sulfur hot spring, unlike the hot springs in Taiwan that had a strong smell.

Another exciting part about this hike is rope climbing.  There are 8 fixed ropes if you go all the way to the Colorado river.  Make sure you have nice hiking shoes, it can be very slippery while climbing.  Some boulders were just so slippery that I needed someone from the top to pull me up.

While having lunch by the Colorado river, some people went for a swim.  They said the water was freezing cold as it gets towards middle of the river.

Going back was harder than coming to the river, especially it had gotten so much warmer after lunch.  Remember to drink lots of water while hiking, Ironman even pour some water on my head and body to cool me down because I was starting to get a little dizzy.

After we finally got back to our car, we drove to the famous hoover dam.

This is a fun and challenging hike, someone like me who never really hike before can do it and liked it.  I'm sure many of you will enjoy it as well.  If you like more information on the hike, please click on the link below.

Club Quarters, Wall Street, New York

This is where I stayed for five nights in New York!
Club Quarters is in downtown Manhattan, right in the heart of the financial district.

The famous wall street is just around the corner.  The red-line subway is just a block away, to midtown is about 15-20 minutes subway ride.

With so many federal buildings in the financial district, there are usually security guards or police guarding at night, makes it safe for us travelers if stay out late.

Shower, no tub.  Nice and clean.

Your own microwave and mini refrigerator!  Free wi-fi included.

This is my favorite part about the hotel!  Chilled purified water right in the hall, bottles provided.  Guest request room has coffee and tea for guest to take as they wish.

I would definitely stay here again!  Club Quarters got nice staff, clean room and nice service.  Nice location.
Purchased through expedia,
5 nights for $860.90 tax included, free wi-fi.

First night in New York

This was taking on top of the Empire state building.  What an amazing view!  I was trying to get to the top before sun goes down, but too bad the line was so long, by the time I reached the top it was almost completely dark.  Still got great shots with my camera.  This one is taked by the smart phone.  Will post pictures with the camera later:)
