Yosemite and Tuolumne Meadows

Yosemite valley is always so beautiful.  This year 4th of July, we originally planned to camp for two nights, unfortunately Mr. Camper hurt his eye while biking, so we end up camping for just one night. (find out how Mr. Camper hurt his eye in our vlog below)

This was my first time in Tuolumne meadows.  Less tourists and more relaxing.

One little incident was that we parked our car at one of the bus stop so we can take bus instead of driving.  Mr. Camper accidentally press the open trunk button instead of the lock button.  Therefore, our trunk was wide open for about three hours while we were hiking in the Tuolumne meadow.  Thank God and good tourists, nothing were missing.

As always, Vlog below :)

My Youtube Channel

In 2010 I was a news reporter for a small Taiwanese TV station in Fremont California. My duties includes gathering news, edit videos and write stories according to the prescribed editorial style and policies. I had no experience with editing videos before accepting the job, so it was tough for me in the beginning.

I clearly remember staying in the office until 3am so I can submit news clip before deadline.  Despite hard works of carrying the heavy camera, gathering news and late night editing, the feeling of seeing your final edited clip is very rewarding.

Even though I have left the news reporting field, editing and filming remained as one of my interests.  I edited a short clip of our hiking trip to the Los Lobos state park on memorial weekend. I'm not too sure about what export setting I should have used when exporting so it will fit the youtube HD screen.  But like everything else in life, just keep doing what you love and eventually you will find the way.

Enjoy the clip and please feel free to give me any suggestions! :)

If you like the clip, please subscribe for more videos to come :))

Los Lobos state national reserve, a place you will never get tired of seeing.  Pictures can tell better stories than words.  Enjoy!

Cafe Lattea and Hiking in Rancho San Antonio

Last weekend Sandy and I  spent some quality time together by hitting up a cafe and a bit of hiking in Rancho San Antonio.

Cafe lattea was quite interesting.  I'm not sure where the drinks originated from, but it tasted like something I had in Taiwan.  It's coffee with salty cream on top, I had it hot but I think cold would have tasted better.

We ordered Cafe lattea's specialty: Honey toast.  Our honey toast was chocolate and banana flavor.  The last time I had honey toast was two years ago in Taiwan.  By this time I had already forgotten where to start with such artistic dessert, so I left it up to Sandy.

Coffee with salty cream and chocolate/banana flavor honey toast are a good combination.

To burn off some calories, we went for a short hike in Rancho San Antonio.  It was the perfect day to for a afternoon hike.  Being in the nature just so relaxing.

It was more like a short walk in Rancho San Antonio.  The place is serene and relaxing, We will definitely return and do an actually hike.
